SCREENWRITING

These days, one of the biggest complaints by audiences when it comes to films is the lack of substance and character development. That’s because Hollywood has forgotten what made films great. This is evident in number of prequels, sequels and reboots that fill our multiplexes. IPs are coveted by production studios and most of the effort surrounding production is placed on name recognition, marketing and merchandising. But audiences can tell that something has gotten lost in the mix. And that something is good writing.

In our mission to deliver the best in original content, Innovative Renderworx places a high importance on screenwriting and in the basic principles of storytelling. We start by building fantastical but realistic worlds populated with relatable characters that aren’t all powerful. In fact, we believe a character’s greatest strength is found in their weakness and in their flaws. While other writers tend to focus on plot driven narratives, we prefer to let the plot fade into the background so that the heart of the story can be brought to the forefront. Essentially, our films and stories are grounded in universal themes that point to profound truths that the rest of the world chooses to ignore. Truths that speak to an audience, not just visually or aesthetically, but on a spiritual level. We understand that not everyone may think the same way and that’s why our signature approach is to leave a great deal to interpretation so that the viewer is free to draw their own conclusion.

By bringing this dynamic to screenwriting and storytelling, Innovative Renderworx is setting a new standard in how films are made. And it is our hope that this trend will influence others to follow in our stead.

Founder Rene Hinojosa has written several short films including The Flag, Late, and Guilt. He is also responsible for writing the screenplay for Templar: The Last Remnant.
